Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Registered Dietitians and Registered Dietitian Technicians: All prerecorded live events are approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) for Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEUs). Other self-study modules may be submitted for credit as they apply to your Learning Plan in MyCDR.

Nurses: These continuing education activities are approved by the Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Registered nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Health and Wellness Coaches: A subset of our courses are approved by the NBHWC Program Approval Commission as continuing education courses for National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWCs).

Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES)Courses listed in our DiabetesCardiovascular Disease, and Obesity categories are eligible continuing education activities for CDEs as described in the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) Renewal by Continuing Education Update for CDEs Renewing in 2017 or Later. These courses are designated as AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) by the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Science and are also approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
